FIRENZE - MArch, RIBA Part II
Thesis “Itinerary/Itinerant - Transient Spaces of the Territorial City”; concerned with issues of situatedness arising from travel, displacement of person, place identity and the corporeal and material nature of architecture and urban space. The two-year studio was centred upon Florence, Italy and the programme's guest critics were Peter Eisenman and Cynthia Davidson.
Following rigorous mapping processes which revealed centres of touristic activity. my thesis proposed a series of interventions across the city - a pedestrian walkway, a museum of citizenship, a homeless drop-in unit and a cultural centre with advice facilities for visitors/immigrants at the Stazione Santa Maria Novella.
